Fun in Photoshop

Today was kind of a stressful day. Work almost killed me, really, I'm not even being dramatic! Trying to be creative at work can make me wanna pull my hair out sometimes. I got my degree in Photography, let me be more clear, STILL Photography (and business which is boring). I work with mostly After Affects which is dealing with shapes, texts, movie clips, graphics...then making them all move in a way that doesn't look Cheesy or that a two year old did it. My Boss is VERY picky (which I actually appreciate...usually) but come on! I think I just need a vacation. Since I'm not sure I'll be getting one of those til at least Thanksgiving I had to come home today and let loose in photoshop, My all time favorite program. I just wanted to be creative and not have someone tell me it wasn't good enough. lol I think I might have gone a little over-board, but I had fun. I can't wait for the day that I'm my own boss and can focus on photography more. I love it so much! The little man had a photo shoot a couple weekends ago. He is growing so fast! So this is one of the favs and one of my favorite buddies, Parker! :)

Last Weekend I....

Last weekend Kenz and I took one of our old roommates to Burley. Good times, lots of fun, lots of food...and oh the memories.

Mel, Kenz, Me, Kristen

Ken'z Dad took us out in the middle of no where in Paul and we went shooting then explored a cave. Pretty sure caves creep me out... especially when there are so many tunnels to get lost in.
I wasn't too scared though, seeing that we are all strong enough to hold it up if it were to start crumbling down. haha!

Weekend with Roommates

Friday night Brooke, Me and Kenz decided to go light some left over fireworks and throw them in the water. As lame as that might sound, since fire and water usually don't mix, it was a lot of fun! The fireworks called, "flowers" look really cool spinning in the water at night. It's considered a talent to be able to always have fun in a town with not a whole lot to do. I love smaller towns and the creativity that comes when people are figuring out something to do.
Me and Kenz... we match! lol All I can say is I got dressed first!!
Saturday night we (all of us roommates) all well on a group date to the Tremonton Fair and Rodeo. Paige (far right) works at the Buckle in the mall and guys are ALWAYS asking for her number. Last week a guy asked for her number and she didn't want to go on the date alone so she told him she would go if he got friends for her roommates. lol It was pretty fun up until the part when Kenz and I's date came across like they didn't want to pay for us to go on any rides...and we didn't bring cash. LOL It was still fun though.

Photo Shoot

This past weekend I had a photo shoot with one of my old friends from high school, Tana, and her fiance Todd. It was a lot of fun and I think we got a lot of good pictures. I can't wait for the day I can focus more time and my career on my photography business. I love it!!

This past weekend was a family reunion. The Mallory Reunion...It rained pretty much the entire time but we still had a lot of fun! Before it rained we got in a dirt bike ride that ended up being about an hour and a half long! It was so much fun!
Some got bumps, some got bruises, some took a fall or two, but we all ate A LOT of dirt. I love my family so much and I'm SO grateful for my parents that raised us the way they did.
My mom kept us in line while my dad taught us to work hard- they both taught us that when all is said and done...its time to play hard!

Awesome Week!!

This week has been so much fun!!!
Tuesday I had a friend call me up to go golfing, which I have missed SO much! I haven't golfed for two years since I don't have many friend that enjoy the sport, YES it is a sport!
Wednesday I helped set up for one of the coolest video shoots ever, which brings me to thursday...
Thursday I helped on a video shoot with JILLIAN MICHAELS! For those of you that don't know who that is, you should be ashamed, she is one of the trainers off of the T.V. series, "Biggest Loser."

I Loved it, it was so much fun! She's my hero! She didn't start out fit, she had to work for it...and that my friends, is something to be proud of!!! I have set a new goal, a high goal might I add, to one day spend at least a full day with her. Pick at her brain, figure out how she thinks, and of course get some helpful hints. I'm now considering going back to SCHOOL to be a physical Trainer. I just love how the biggest loser is set up and what transformations people go through, they become totally different people! More confidant, happier, healthier...and of course FIT!

Friday I headed off to the good ol' State of Idaho and the small town of Burley to play with family. We went boating friday and it was my first time "catching some air" on the wakeboard!! SO FUN! Wish I had a picture but I don't... I can't wait to get back out on the water and do it again!

Saturday my mom taught me the tricks of the coupon trade. haha It cracks me up! She gets so much for nothing!! LOVE IT! Then when we got home I took my nephew Parker for a ride on the four wheeler. He thinks thats the greatest thing and it keeps him happy so we road around for like an hour! lol Good times!

Sunday was my nieces baby blessing and she is oh so freakin CUTE! I love that girl! We had a nice family dinner after and enjoyed each others company!

LOVE!

4th of July Trip to Georgia

Over the 4th of July I got invited to go with a friend to GEORGIA. She went on her mission there and was invited my someone she taught (Kenny) to come visit- all expense paid! :) So here is the story (short version) of my trip to Georgia!

We left EARLY (plane flew out at 6:20 a.m.) Thursday morning so in order to have time to drive to the airport, find parking, get through security, etc. we had to wake up at 3:30 a.m.! Enter picture 1- Waiting our turn to board the plane...I was SO tired but SO excited (this was my first plane ride- crazy I know) at the same time that there was NO WAY I was going to be able to sleep. JaNan on the other hand found it very easy to sleep whenever possible.

SO EXCITED TO FLY....

Some of the Random things we did on the flight:
Pic. 1- JaNan Texting one of her many man lovers AFTER they told us to turn off and put all electronic devices away. BAD GIRL! It was pretty funny though how she tried to disguise it behind the emergency pamphlet.
Pic. 2- So I got a little nervous- the only thing I could think of to calm my nervous...
HA! Jk. The guy the sat next to JaNan got one and I don't know why but I wanted a picture. lol So JaNan leaned over and was like, "Um my friend doesn't drink but she likes your bottle, can she have a picture with it?" He gave me a wierd look and kept laughing at me while I was taking a picture. I'm random, I konw.
Pic. 3- My entertainment for several hours while JaNan always seemed to be sleeping as soon as we took off. I fell in love with Cran-Apple minute maide. YUM! (Vodka free)

First site of ATLANTA! :) Though this might be what most people think Atlanta looks like...it's not at all. There are tree GALORE! Everywhere you drive you can't see where you destination is because tree (Big Trees) line both sides of the road. Its so pretty- but it can also cause frustration when you get lost for HOURS on end. I sure am glad I wasn't driving!First meal in Georgia. This was the start of way to many HUGE meals! I tasted things that were, well frankly, disgusting! Of course there were several things that were SO good and thats why I probably gained 50lbs while I was there. lol. Okra, black-eyed peas, Fried Chicken, Salt (is that a food cuz I think they put it on by the cubes), Red Velvet cake, Carrot cake, steak, oh and don't forget the GRITS! (My face turns green thinking about the grits).
This cute little old lady was a friend of JaNan's. She came with us to dinner and was pretty funny. I love her fancy flower hat! Classy! She got mad at me though for waisting some chicken... thats a "sin" in the south! haha

Our Hotel: We stayed in the "Westin." Nice place! It made it hard to wake up every morning cuz our beds were beyond comfy! The timer on the camera was SO fast so I look a little retarted from trying to run and jump on the bed before it took the picture. lol The other picture is a view from our window...told ya, SO MANY TREES!

Play TIME!!! Friday night was our time to play and see the sites of Atlanta. JaNan wanted me to experience riding "Marta" which is the train system that loops around Most of Atlanta. Here I am pretending to "Patiently wait" but really I wasn't very patient. lol

CNN Center

This picture cracks me up! So we went to the Olympic square. In the middle there is all this water shooting up (yes, i'll state the obvious thank you). So it was all black kids so I was like, "JaNan go stand in the middle of them, you'll be the only white tall person." haha See if you can find her. She has a black shirt on so she kind of blends! lol ;)

Underground Mall- It's pretty sweet! There is a bunch of history behind what it was before it became a mall. I won't go into that though. This post is already miles long.

Saturday was the 4th and we had us a nice big BBQ at the Chatanooga River. We had SO much food...enough to feed about 40 and there was 8 of us. Yes, I'm a very patriotic person! I didn't even think about it til I came home that Crocks were probably around those parts! Scary! You can pretty much cross the entire river without even getting your head wet. Fun place to play!

Our group at the BBQ. Kenny is the guy in the wheel chair that flew us over there. He fought in the Vietnam war so it was pretty cool to hear a few of his stories. Seemed like a pretty good way to spend the fourth to me. He's a very generous guy and he always had me laughin at things he would say.

Well there are a ton more pictures and stories I could go on and on about but this blog is so long!! So last but not least is the fly home. I'll only post one picture of the clouds from the plane. I took about thirty, JaNan thinks i'm weird cuz of how many pictures I took.

I like to call this my "Air Force One" Shot. lol Georgia was a blast! I LOVED it and I can't wait til the next opportunity I have to travel again! It really is so fun seeing different parts of the world and experiencing how other people think and live.Oh and P.S. I got to see a FIREFLY!!!! They are so cool, I've waiting 25 years to see one of those bugs!

Prank...

Someone pulled a prank on me! A little bit ago I woke up to t.p. and love notes all over my car. It made me laugh. The funny thing was that I had to shoot a wedding that weekend. So before I went to the reception I had to wash it all off so I wouldn't be confused with the real bride. lol Yes, I look like crap, it was early, give me a break. haha

Fun Filled Weekend...and More

I like to think I get joy out of the small things...I'm not saying I wouldn't enjoy a nice weekend in Hawaii, but non-the-less I had a great fun filled weekend with me and my best buddy Kenz! Friday we went to the new Disney Movie, "UP" in 3D!!! It was a blast! I know I'm not the quickest person in the world and all ya-all have probably already seen movies in 3D but I haven't and I thought it was the coolest thing! It was so fun and gosh we were all SO attractive!

Saturday I ended up having to work, which is pretty much against my religion but I let it fly this one time. So after work we decided we would go up to bear lake and check out how things were up there. It was pretty cold so we just had an amazing skipping rocks contest (cough, cough...I won!) We then hit up "bear lake pizza" and made our way home. On the way home we had a ton of random fun. We stopped at this historical site...not sure what it's called but it was awesome! The water is coming out of the ground! haha ok that sounded very blonde...but it is!! Usually you see it coming out of the mountain, but nope not here! lol It's cool!!

I don't know where time goes so fast...I feel like weeks go by so slow sometimes, yet months seem to fly! I'm so ready for summer to be here! I've started doing my morning runs again and it feels great (usually). I'm looking forward to all the joys of summer: Sun, longer days, tan legs, family reunions, watermelon, BBQ's but most of all I can't wait to go boating/wakeboarding!!! Don't get me wrong, I don't love it because I can do cool tricks and impress everyone. Lets be honest, I kinda suck...ok I really suck, BUT I'm getting better and I think it's so fun!!!!!! Bring on the Wake!

MY DATING LIFE:
Just an update on my love life, for those of you that care...and some that bug me constantly about it- I'm still single. HAHA!
I've been going on a couple dates lately but the biggest thing i've come to learn about it so far is that I have more respect for those of you that are married! HAHA! Not even kidding, I mean flip there are so many morons out there...how the heck did you people find a true love!? I never have that, "can't wait to see him again feeling." It's more of a, sad but true,  "oh he's a nice boy, bless his heart" while think in the back of my head, "glad thats over...now how am I going to ditch him without coming off as a total jerk!?" Yeah so anyways...thats the love life, good story huh? ;) Any tips or suggestions are always welcome...

Notice what it says at the bottom! LOL

LoGan AdvEntuRes!

So friday a group of us did almost the most random thing I think I've ever done! It was awesome, with loads of laughs, weird looks and pretty sweet pictures.
Our guy friends loaded up a couch in the back of their truck and we went around Logan finding random spots to take a group picture... we like to refer to it as, "the adventures of the couch."
Here are a few pictures...

I'll admit it- I felt tough in this picture! Ha
